Damon's Den Doberman Rescue of Western Pennsylvania

Our lost but not forgotten DoberAngels waiting at the bridge

Angel: You came so far to be safe with us. We only got to know you for such a short time but it was long enough to know how special you are. We arehonored to have kept you safe, warm and loved in the last days of your lifeon this sometimes cruel earth. Play happily and pain free now and forever, sweet Angel. You will be missed......
Damon: The sweetest, most loving soul that anyone could ever want stricken with such a terrible disease. May all of your days now be pain free, forever loved and missed......
Dustin: A beautiful boy with a horrible start in life that he couldn't overcome. May his demons have been set free. We miss you.......
Jake: A sweet and wanting to please youngster who seemed to never be able to catch a break in life. We tried, Jake, but sometimes the cards are stacked wrong. Hoping that you are playing happily now, we miss you......
Jake: A lovely sweet old man who lost his favorite person late in his life, now you are together again, peace always.......
Virg: We tried so hard for you, Virg, but the odds were stacked. May you be happily running and playing with the other Doberangels until we meet again.
Rosie: Happiness was so worth waiting for, sweet Rosie, but so very short on this earth. You are very missed and loved.
Tasha came to us from a life of neglect and abuse. Sadly, we were unable to fix her broken spirit as much as we would have liked. We know that she is happier and feels safer in a better place.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
